I have been implementing interactive student notebooks in my biology classroom every year. The purpose behind an interactive notebook is to help students organize and synthesize information given to them in class. One of the wonderful things about an interactive notebook is that it can be whatever you want it to be. In my classroom I don't teach to the textbook, therefore my students don't use them. We are creating our own textbook as we go throughout the year. In order for the students to create our interactive notebooks, we need supplies such as colored paper, highlighters, glue sticks, scissors, colored markers, colored pencils etc. These supplies cost a great deal of money since I have over 100 students, and your donation will be used towards the purchase of these supplies.
