We use anchor charts in the classroom everyday as our district follows the Gradual Release of Responsibility teaching model. This model encourages the use of anchor charts for student reference of previously taught concepts. This has become extremely useful for my special education students. When we create our anchor charts, they are frequently falling off the walls or simply in the way. Having an easel to use while students are learning will give them the area they need to help create clear and supportive charts. The additional supplies requested will allow the class to easily implement the use of the anchor chart stand.
