I never thought I would have to meet my ninth graders through a computer screen. They never imagined that they would have to transition to high school while sitting at home. Clear connections are so important to the success of any student, but even more so in a virtual environment. Students may not be able to attend during the regular school day as many of my students have other family pressures like caring for their siblings or earning money to support the family. The technology I am asking for will enable me to create presentations more accessible to all my students at any given time. I no longer have access to my classroom and the easel and whiteboard can help me create lectures similar to the in-class environment. In addition, once we are back in the classroom, I can continue to create videos to post for any student who is ill or not able to attend classes.
