I have researched and experimented with a variety of types of flexible seating. After seeing the many health and academic benefits of students using different kids of seating, I have allowed my students to have more choice in where they sit throughout the day. I would like to expand the flexible seating options in my classroom to include eight wobble cushions and eight Kore wobble stools. Evolving the classroom space to meet students’ individual needs impacts how they learn, how they interact, and the entire classroom experience. Flexible classrooms give students a choice in what kind of learning space works best for them. Flexible classrooms help children to work collaboratively, communicate, and engage in critical thinking. This project will help to insure that my students have the type of seating that allows all learners to be their best learning self.
