The kitchen area is essential for encouraging children to engage in role play and exploration. In this area they can recreate their own life experiences and learn from one another. This is an area where children learn to cooperate with peers and learn through imaginative play. The classroom rug establishes a place where we can gather together as a group and share. In this area books are read, the days events are discussed, new items are introduced and conversation is encouraged. It truly is an essential piece in the classroom environment. The blocks and musical instruments are a great way to encourage creative play. Children learn open-ended exploration through blocks. They are great for imaginative and constructive play. Musical instruments are fun and exciting for children of all ages. The items I am requesting will truly enhance my classroom and help provide the best educational experience for my students. I currently have hand-me-down items that have seen better days. Many items are garage sale items due to budget constraints. Any new addition to my classroom will be very much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider my request.
