Many of my students are still suffering from the devastating results of Hurricane Harvey. Since many of them were displaced, coming to our classroom is a safe haven for them. I enjoy being a listening ear, shoulder to cry on, and having our classroom be a home away from home. Our school is located in Third Ward and we service a low socioeconomic population. Many refuse to become victims of circumstance and show up and show out academically in the classroom daily. It's true that it takes a village to raise a child and I'm proud to be apart of their village!

About my class
