Today's students need accurate news information. Our current social studies materials consist of a 9 year old textbook and any ancillary materials I create or find. Time for Kids would provide developmentally appropriate up to date non fiction information. This resource also provides great literacy exposure to current topics that are relevant to today's students. Using this resource introduces students to a media outlet they may utilize later in their educational journey. Unfortunately our current school budget does not allow for our classroom to purchase Time for Kids to use in our classrooms. The gift of Time for Kids in my second grade class would be greatly appreciated.
