Each one of my students have individual learning needs. Some learn best sitting in a still chair. While others need to move in order maintain focus. For some to learn to their full potential, they need more creative environmental changes. These changes include flexible seating such as bouncy seats and wobbly stools. Children these days come with a lot of extra baggage. There is so much that is put on them that often times it is difficult for them to learn. Focusing at school sometimes becomes impossible with the amount of emotional stress going on in their home life. My classroom has become a safe place for my students. A place where they are free to learn despite life's obstacles. Flexible seating will work wonders in my classroom.
