We are in the outskirts of Jacksonville, Florida. Our school is next to the St. John's river, and large farm lands. Some of my students are in military families, low income families, and receive academic accommodations. They are very eager and excited about every experience we have in the classroom. From watching the butterfly life cycle in our classroom, to learning about our class pet (a venus fly trap named Chewy), to learning new Math strategies, creating and publishing a class book of biographical poems. Everything we do is so fun and thrilling to them. I will do everything in my power to continue and grow their love and enthusiasm for school. My classroom is a "family" we treat each other with compassion and we support one another.
