The bright blue rug will give my students a comfortable place to listen to books, meet for read alouds, morning meeting, and interact with each other. Whereas the comfortable cushions will provide a pleasant seat to sit on instead of the cold, tiled floor or a hard desk chair. Also, many books are provided on play-a-longs, CD and on the web. The headphones will help my students hear the spoken words providing them with the opportunity to hear fluent reading with intonation, dialect, and voice. This will directly impact my English Language Learners along with the other students. I believe that students will voluntarily do things over and over again, those things that make them happy. I want them to find that happiness in a good book, and want to go to an area that they are comfortable, and look forward to finding that just right spot in the room for themselves. Your generous donation will help provide my students with that just right spot where they can sit comfortably and find pleasure and enjoyment, so that they will discover more positive reasons to read. This will change my students' perspectives on reading and provide better opportunities in their future, because they have grown to love to read.
