I am requesting the Franklin Collins Pocket Spellers so that students can quickly verify the correct spelling of a word. After students phonetically sound out a word, students can type into the spell checker to see if it is correct. If an error was made, the spell checker will show the correct spelling of a word. Students can self-correct words and produce better writing pieces utilizing this tool. The Franklin Collins Pocket Speller will boost the confidence of my reading intervention students and increase their word knowledge! It will also provide experience with technology in the classroom. I can't wait to start incorporating the pocket spellers into my classroom!
