The Bluford Reading Series has had my students hooked from our first read aloud. With this class set we can have the opportunity to read more and be on the media center "Wait list" less. The flexible seating, including balance balls and flex-space floor seats, will allow my students to move around, have choice where they read and create their own reading nooks in our classroom. These seats will be more comfortable to our bodies than the traditional wooden chairs we inhabit daily. Reading diverse texts that we like and choosing where we can read will enable us to build an intrinsic life- long love of reading.
