I would like to provide wooden and magnetic block sets for my students to increase their scIence, math, and technology experiences in my classroom. Block play provides students with the ability to create, construct, count, think critically, make predictions, interact with peers, and escape into a world of their own creation. Block play provides endless opportunities for students to learn and problem solve through peer interactions. Some block activities will include a structured lesson, "Can you build this?" "How many do you need?" Some block activities will involve open ended scenarios, "what can you build?" Other activities will be completely child driven, motivated by whatever my students can create!
