A classroom rug is a great way to stay organized in our classroom. It also helps create a community of learners and help reinforce a friendly environment because everyone gets a seat. We use our Listening Place for whole group learning and circle up to communicate our feelings and address the needs of our community. Rugs are more comfortable than the hard floor and enable longer listening and engagement to take place, as well as it makes our room more attractive and inviting. A rug is also a one time purchase, so I can use it from year to year and get the most out of it.
