Our students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology! My students would love the opportunity to have a tablet in their classroom! Many of our students are from low-income areas in our city. Interacting with a Samsung Galaxy tablet will increase their understanding of technology and give hands-on opportunities to explore places we cannot physically visit. There are many applications that are suitable for preschool learners. Unfortunately, right now we cannot access a tablet. My students would enjoy learning and interacting with a Samsung Galaxy tablet, they will have so much fun learning and exploring various subjects with this tablet! After exploring the various ways we can use the tablet, our classroom will be able to document their work and make copies using our HP printer. We will be able to take our Sony digital camera outdoors and extend our projects to include outdoor studies. Unfortunately, our computer monitor is outdated, has blue lines, and not large enough for a group of seventeen students to view. I hope the Samsung LED monitor will alleviate that issue and create an environment where all my students can be comfortable and enjoy interacting with our new technology.
