My students need an updated work environment for their lab space. Our lab stools are currently very old and outdated. The legs are wobbly, the metal is rusted and many of them have loose/missing screws. I want to get my students new stools that are comfortable and can adjust to their desired height. It is important that the stools are comfortable so students can remain focused for extended periods of time on their work. Stools with wheels would work well so that students could adjust their seating to see better during instruction. The other item we would want is a large whiteboard that can be attached in the back of the room. This would be used for lab-specific instruction. On the board, we could draw diagrams, review vocabulary and clarify lab directions. It would be an important resource to enhance lab instruction in my classroom. These resources would help to enhance our lab space in the classroom by providing students with appropriate seating and a large whiteboard for instruction. This would also provide my classroom with a professional lab set-up that would better prepare students for higher level classes.
