Cooperation, problem-solving, imagination, fine, and gross motor skills are just a few things that preschoolers can learn through play. They grow, learn, and problem solve when given opportunities to explore materials. I want to create a block area in my classroom that gives my students the opportunity to learn about the community around them, by providing blocks, community buildings, and transportation signs for them to use. I also want to provide ramps, vehicles, and a variety of blocks to provide oppotinities to learn about motion, force and, speed. Socially, students can learn to share, cooperate, and work together. By providing a variety of materials, students of all abilities can learn and grow.
