Calculators will enhance the learning experience in my classroom. In the 21st century, technology has become a major part of our everyday life. Students will use it to make budgets, figure out taxes, and more advanced math classes. Standardized testing requires students to be able to use a scientific calculator. By middle school and high school, students are already expected to know computational skills and are learning more advanced concepts and processes. Using a calculator to save time on computations can help students focus more on the new concepts and less on tediously working through computations. Calculators will help my students in their future.
