Magazines are full of content that supports growing readers in their literacy development and inspires their love for reading. Students will be exposed to a variety of texts that encourage them to read, listen, learn and interact with engaging content in a fun way! Also, by donating to my project, you will not only help to improve literacy development, you will also be engaging families in learning together. These authentic texts with newsworthy topics will be used as mini lessons on content and with evidence-based collaborative discussions in my classroom each week. Also, each week the magazines will foster social skills by allowing students to share and discuss in small groups.
