Can you imagine how frustrating it would be it you wanted to share stories, experiences, and ideas with others but they could not understand your because you lack the necessary skills to correctly produce speech sounds? My students need some basic materials including articulation cards, workbooks, and games that will help them learn to correctly produce speech sounds. They could benefit from having the Anytime Articulation Card Games which would supply them with words targeting the sounds they are working on. Many times students working on specific sounds practice words over and over and therapy may become boring and repetitive. These sets allow them to practice their words in a game format which can be very motivating for students in 3rd through 5th grades. Many of my articulation students are working to correct production of /r/ and /r/ blends and Super Duper Skill Strips for /r/ and /r/ blends would provide them with cards that target the sound at the word, phrase, sentence, and conversational levels. My students who regularly come to therapy and complete their home practice sheets make the most progress. So, the Super Duper Artic Quickies and the Say and Do Articulation workbooks would be used to copy and send home worksheets for home practice. These materials would be very helpful in Improving their articulation skills which would improve their speech intelligibility when sharing their ideas, stories, and experiences! For many students improving their articulation skills would boost their self esteem and allow them to be better communicators! Improving articulation skills would also help to improve reading skills, spelling, and social skills which are all important for school success! I want to help my students be better communicators!
