My students are special needs students. They are intellectually disabled and have IQs lower than 70. BUT don't think that they can't learn, they just need to learn differently! Our district has partnered with a fabulous curriculum that is both paper based and iPad based. The students using the iPads can learn at their own speed, a strategy that has been proven effective in ALL classrooms, but especially in a classroom of 12 students at different levels of functioning. I hope to be able to provide my students with iPads so they can access Math, Language Arts and Reading curriculum in a different way this year and in to the future.
