My students will be practice cooking recipes in hopes of guiding them toward independence. The microwave will be used daily as many of my students have dietary restrictions that require their parents to pack them a lunch. They will learn to independently heat up their breakfast or lunch. Every Friday my students will have a recipe to follow in a small group. The convection oven will be used to complete these weekly recipes, but also for special occasions like our annual Thanksgiving feast, cakes for class birthdays, practice of cooking breakfast for Mother's Day, Christmas cookies, and so much more!
