Adequate seating will help my students be more comfortable and productive in the classroom. My students are currently using chairs meant for much smaller students. This makes them very uncomfortable. Students currently are slouching over and some even have their knees touching their chests because they are too big for their current seats. This becomes a distraction as some are often falling out of their current seats. The seating that they currently have was purchased in the early '80's. It is time to bring their seating needs up to date so we can focus on more important issues such as reading.
