Writing is an area of weakness for many of my students. However, their love for reading shines through. Using mentor texts to help guide and shape their writing will not only allow students to see quality writing but will also appeal to what they like, reading! Often times they struggle to come up with an idea, using a mentor text can help spark an idea for many students. When students are able to model their writing after a strong author their confidence as a writer increases and their imaginations can sore. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student writing, you will help to increase their overall academic achievement.
