This more 'relaxed' seating choice allows my students to enjoy their work and let their guard down while they are working. We have many students who have home lives that are much less than ideal. Sitting in a traditional classroom setting can increase the anxiety of students. Sitting in rows and in hard seats can also make it a tough learning enviroment for those students to learn. I want my students to be able to be cozy, comfortable and collaborative. Learning should be fun! Flexible seating can serve as a reward and incentive for students who otherwise can struggle academically.
