The TAG conference is an annual conference, for gifted teachers, in the state of Tennessee. This conference is the only event all year for teachers of gifted in our state. For the 2019 conference, TAG has partnered with Vanderbilt University's Programs for Talented Youth to make the event even better! While at the event, I will be able to hear speakers from all over the United States that run gifted programs, study gifted learners, and teach gifted students. I will be able to gain insight into other teachers' best practices for a better approach to teaching. During the conference, there will be break out sessions that are taught by actual teachers. These will give me TONS of take away activities and real strategies to implement in my classroom. Also during the conference, there will be plenty of speakers who address the social and emotional needs of my students. This is very important to me so that I am able to reach the whole child and understand better how to connect and help my students.
