Learning to read is one of the most important skills that teachers have the responsibility to teach their students. Students are most successful when they have the opportunity to practice reading every day. A student's love for reading is nurtured through the experience of reading high interest books. A student's confidence increases as they are able to find the high interest books they are interested in devouring. Organizing high interest books so students can easily find them, encourages students to become independent readers. Practice with independent reading will build better readers. I am asking for two space-saver bookcases for our classroom library. Being able to find the just right book will build confidence in each reader.
