In fourth quarter, my students are learning about the role of freshwater around the world. They are going to learn about the importance of clean freshwater and the challenges facing the earth's clean water supply. My students are going to create a Public Service Announcement (PSA) about one thing they can do to conserve, protect, or provide access to clean water in the world. These tablets will help the students research background knowledge about earth's limited water supply using BigUniverse, ReadWorks, NewsELA, and Kiddle. This will also help them create their PSA on VoiceThread or SeeSaw. By donating to our project, you will help my students think critically about water conservation and increase their world view. My students are also going to participate in a "Solutionary Congress." This is where my students are going to collaborate with their peers to come up with a reasonable solution to one of the following global goals that they are passionate about: access to quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, no poverty, zero hunger, affordable and clean energy, and pollution (land and ocean). They are going to utilize these tablets to help them research and present their solutions to the class.
