I have requested a set of tablets for my classroom. My bungalow (a portable) is wonderful, but a bit remote. Having a set of tablets in the room would give us access whenever we need it. Technology is relevant everyday in the lives of young people. It's time to embrace this change and utilize it in my classroom. It will increase student investment and interest. I plan on having my students create podcasts and blog sites. I want them to post literary reviews. I want to explore the possibilities. Our own set of tablets would mean we would no longer be reliant on checking out a cart of technology (if available). It would give us autonomy and freedom for any projects that were planned or improvised. It gives educational freedom.
