My classroom is all about engagement and creativity. I love to work with my students on lessons and activities that are not only rigorous on their content but fun and exciting. I have found that kids understand better and retain more information if they are engaged and enjoy the lesson. We have transformed our classroom into a hospital, a restaurant, a Star Wars set and a Rainforest. All of these activities have been curriculum based and an opportunities for my kids to learn while enjoying themselves. These are lessons my kids will never forget. My kids come from different countries and socioeconomic backgrounds, they have different struggles and needs, but the thing they all share is that they enjoy coming to school everyday, they know it's a safe and fun environment where they will learn in a creative way.
