My students will be learning from a young age about the value of money, the importance of saving, spending, planning, and investing. We will be learning through play and group projects how to earn money, manage money, and make smart investments. We will use books (The Penny Pot and Money Man), games (Monopoly Junior, Buy It Right, and All About Money Learning Center) and class discussion to aid in creating a profitable business idea. Students will plan what service or product they will sell, what resources are needed, and who their target audience (market) will be. They will learn to work together with other students and the importance of patience and communication skills.
