I have had the pleasure to see these lessons used in a classroom while attending professional development. These lessons help students understand veterinary science principles using inquiry based methods. Students will be able to perform an urinalysis by using simulated samples. Students also will also be able to use inquiry based learning skills to learn how nutrition is vitally important to growing animals. These lessons will help my kids be able to make connections between human and animal medical concerns. My students often will consider being a veterinarian while they take my classes. Giving students labs that will help to simulate what the laboratory is like would help them make decision of whether or not they want to be a veterinarian.
