Students need technology to cultivate some of the skills necessary for college and career readiness. Access to iPads and online test prep material is one of the first steps to reaching this goal. While textbooks are a great resource, with iPads, students will have better test prep materials at their fingertips. I encourage my students to seek information for themselves and to not rely solely on me, their teacher. Students will have access to test prep materials such as Khan Academy, Prep Scholar and the ACT website. They will also be able to research different majors and colleges to determine what comes after high school. But without technology resources in my room, this task is almost impossible.
