Our school is packed with students and has many floating teachers. Not enough classroom space makes it difficult for music and ASL students to develop their skills on their instrument, or in their target language with fidelity. How can you improve your skills if it's too noisy to hear yourself play? We need additional space to allow small groups of instruments to work together to hone their craft. The only space we have is the auditorium, but it is not safe to be practicing without the visible eye of the teacher or audio direction needed to hold students accountable. A set of wireless audio/video cameras, portable dry erase boards, hanging chart stands for small group work that can quickly be rolled away for concerts or general auditorium use will make the auditorium stage a friendly and unique learning space that allow teachers to keep an eye on their students visually/audibly when they are in the next room.
