Flexible seating will offer our students a choice in their learning. Students feel empowered when they are able to choose their workspace. It also allows students to incorporate movement into their learning. Flexible seating will also minimize restlessness during instruction. Research also shows that flexible seating improves students behavior as well as engagement. We want to offer our students a choice in their seating to increase their engagement! Some options for flexible seating will be wobble stools. These will benefit students who still need to have a desk but need to incorporate movement into their learning. The fidget bands will help students stay active while in a traditional classroom desk setup. The wobble disks are for students who feel comfortable sitting on the floor but also need movement.
