My students use the Smartboard to participate in Shout it Out, Monster Quiz, Sorting, labeling, and matching. It allows students to feel safe in responding to questions and gives them a hands on atmosphere. Students work on research in class to dig deeper into content that has been taught and are able to present what they learn to their peers. My students like to research topics and add them to our discussions. This leads to students wanting to read more about the topic. My students read their library books during their AR time. The tablets allow them read electronic books and use the tablets to log in and test on their Accelerated Reader. This allows them to increase their reading levels which translate to their learning of history.
