Today many students are frequently absent from the classroom. While there are great resources outside the classroom nothing is better than the individualized attention a student's teacher can offer. Having a tablet to demonstrate worked-out equations and hand-drawn diagrams is essential in effectively communicating with students. Being able to work out the student's specific math questions when they are able to not attend is not easily done with a mouse alone. The Surface tablet will allow me as a teacher to draw diagrams for Geometry and work out equations with students in an online meeting, or by making a video to send to their email.
