In social studies, we spend a lot of time analyzing maps, images, artwork, and snapshots of history. Because we do not have access to color printers at my school, it is very difficult to portray the desired message to students through black and white. This printer and ink will greatly assist with displaying cultural aspects through art, maps, and graphics. It will also assist students when analyzing maps, a key skill in social studies. The storage tubs are for storing our classroom set of map pencils which students use frequently to create maps. We incorporate many project based learning experiences in my classroom, so the colorful pencils assist with creating visually striking projects.
