Many of our students have little to no hands-on experience with animals/farming. This makes it difficult for them to understand the life cycles of other vertebrates. Providing a learning experience where they investigate the life cycle of a chicken on a daily basis will be something they never forget! It will also give our students an opportunity to practice responsibility as they care for the chicks. We will need an incubator and fertilized eggs to begin our project. We will also need a hygrometer to monitor the humidity of the incubator. We will also need containers and brooding lights to house the chicks once they hatch!
