Students in my classroom have a difficult time sitting still due to their special needs. They are doing their best to stay focused on the lesson at hand. However, at times interruption during learning may occur due to students kicking, rocking or moving in their seats. The gift of flexible seating options would allow my students to be at ease and would promote productivity in the classroom. The option of sitting on a stability ball during small group work during reading, writing or math would increase circulation to the body, especially the brain which promotes learning during core subjects. The other option of using a wobble cushion would allow my students who have a strong need to fidget become more attentive when their sensory needs are addressed. Lastly, during small group work, flexible seating options would tremendously motivate my students to go to centers without hesitation because of how awesome these unique seating areas would be from their ordinary and typical classroom experiences from the past. My students and I would be so grateful for your support and contributions to this project. We thank you in advance for your time and donation.
