My students don't have the opportunity to participate in a class that teaches the power of words and how they connect to growth, freedom, and learning. I run a Writing for Publications club, but it's difficult to produce anything without the point and shoot digital cameras that help my students get the full experience of the journalism process. They will learn how to take photos, connect images to writing, and address issues and topics that affect them and their world directly. The simple point and shoot digital cameras I am requesting will be shared among the 25-30 students in the club. They will learn how images can speak words and how pictures can tell a thousand stories.
