Having students excited to read books at a young age is crucial. In March, students will meet author Eric Litwin. My students are always excited to meet a real author, and even after the visit is over, I know they will still remember the experience they had.
As part of the author visit excitement, students in grades UPK to third will have the chance to earn an autographed book from Eric Litwin. Teachers will nominate students from each homeroom in grades UPK to third grade that demonstrate kindness and resiliency, themes often found in Eric Litwin’s books.
My students deserve to have books in their hands that they love to read. This access will further encourage students to foster a love of reading from a young age that will hopefully carry into the teen years and adulthood.
Author visits are events that students remember from their elementary education experience, and I want to give my students every opportunity possible to love reading and learning. By supporting this project, you will help my students create wonderful memories and put books into the hands of my students.
