These books will go well with three writing units we are already working on in Second Grade! We do a lot of writing based on theseStrega Nona Books and the students don't have their own copies. Giving the students their own copies gives them the opportunity to have the books in their hand and not in mine reading it to them on the carpet. The bookshelf will be great to put all our books in as we are working on a unit! We also start the year off by writing an opinion unit on what three little bear story the students like the best. Reading a variety of books helps the students to form an opinion and find evidence in the text to back it up. Adding more books to that unit would be so beneficial to the students learning.
