These materials will enhance my students' math lessons and provide an opportunity for further engagement. I spend a lot of time planning guided math lessons. If each student had their own math tool box, that would allow each student to have the tools that they need right at their fingertips. We also spend a lot of time reading and talking about books. Fourth grade is a really important year for readers. If I don't hook them into reading now, their reading practice will only become a school chore. I'm a first year teacher that inherited a small library so I'm always in need of more high-interest books at all reading levels.
