Third grade begins with new adventures in reading and writing. I believe that by having access to Fiction and Non-fiction reading passages and comprehension card materials that are relevant to my students will boost their reading levels. The Crack the Case inferring cards will allow students to have fun while learning how to apply those inferring strategies to tackle STAAR. The Read and Respond cards included in the bundle will allow students to write text summaries using evidence from the text. I believe that these resources along with recognized reading strategies will help my students, the leaders of tomorrow, tackle rigorous texts.
