I can with an iPad! My students are extremely motivated. They are eager to get to work in class and rehearsal and look forward to creating art together. As a whole, my students cannot afford luxury items, such as iPads. These tools will encourage my students to explore, refine and create independently. To teach a person to learn to grow independently is perhaps the greatest service that one can do another. - Benjamin Jowett. In the music classroom, technology is part of the content. My students need access to technology in order to keep them current and competitive. Students will be able to record themselves and send the performance for evaluation as homework. Students will use an online app such as Sight Reading Factory to assist in developing their musical literacy. These iPads will help my students in sectional rehearsals with their individual parts when I am working with another section.
