First, let me thank you for viewing my project!
My students are using programming (java block or full syntax javascript) to manipulate digital and analog tools on Adafruit's Circuit Playground to learn how physical computing works.
We are currently learning programming from code.org's Computer Science Discoveries curriculum. This is a great curriculum, but it has the playground circuit board tethered to their devices at all times. This is good for building the foundation of learning physical computing and programming concepts, but also limits us to only develop solutions we can execute while attached to and powered by our devices.
The adafruit battery packs and energizer rechargeable batteries and chargers will enable my students to learn in a maker environment. These accessories will extend their learning to unleash all the creative opportunities available. My students will now be able to apply their learning to developing more mobile and stand-alone applications that don't require them to power their circuit boards with their chromebooks through USB.
