We are currently using a reading program that allows students to record a story they read aloud. Each student sends a recording to me and they are able to listen to it themselves to improve reading skills. We currently have one-to-one computers for every student in the classroom but would greatly benefit from having headphones with microphones. Our current reading program is highly successful but would be greatly improved if we had high quality headphones with the built in microphone for our recordings. Our students are learning how to read with improved syntax and emphasis in all their reading, not just language arts. Improved reading skills will benefit these students in all subject areas and into future grade levels.
