Planning, designing and building are skills that foster critical thinking. Through the requested 3D Magnetic Builders and The Vehicle Building Engineering Center my students will explore, design and create their own objects, while the Blocks and Blueprints Design Center and Young Architects Design Blocks will give them a plan to follow. Using these materials will show my students that there is indeed a world of fun outside of video games. Many of my students do not play at home, as they often go to work with their parents after school, go to the laundromat or help care for siblings and the home. These materials are for purposeful play, but may also ignite a spark in a new field for a future architect or engineer!
