As my students arrive every morning, they have about 15-20 minutes to complete their morning procedures and eat breakfast if they would like. Because they are completing their tasks and finishing up breakfast at different times, I need morning tubs with different activities for children to use during this time before we start our day. Magna Tiles, Design Builders, Waffle Builders, and play food & dishes will allow my five and six year olds to be creative, use their imagination, and interact & engage with their peers. In previous years, I have used worksheets and math manipulatives during the morning time. The worksheets were not interactive and it required a lot of paper throughout the year. The students enjoyed using the math manipulatives to create and explore, but have grown bored with using the items in both the morning and during math. I need new morning tubs full of different activities that will keep my students excited and allow them to collaborate with one another.
